my first time

today at my sketch writing class i officially performed in my very first improv sketch! it was intimidating but i grew some balls and decided to participate, and i'm happy to say i did somewhat moderately okay! and by that, i mean i didn't have a nervous breakdown in the middle of the scene. it was really a great experience, and now i'm excited to try more. also today in my class i learned that i'm a terrible terrible judge of age. this one girl i'd judged to be in her early to mid 20s turned out to be 31, and another girl who i thought was about 26 ended up being a mother to a two year old child. needless to say, i'm not going to be opening up one of those booths at the carnival anytime soon.

in other news, reeds and i saw a naked 70 year old woman today. where, might you ask, would such a crazy sight be had? oh, nowhere special, just RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR DOOR. that's right, our new neighbor is a crazy, naked, cat lady who wears a pair of enormous, dark sunglasses 24 hours a day. we also learned that she has lived in this apartment for 35 years and no one has ever seen the inside of her place. so yeah, that's kind of really creepy. home sweet home, i guess.
