point, tony hawk underground
my brother owned a playstation 2 when we were growing up. he had lots of games for it, but he always played tony hawk underground. he could do all the crazy tricks, like back kickflip and 360 mctwist and all those intense grind combinations that added up across the bottom of the screen. when i tried to play i usually pulled a 180 and got really excited before immediately falling and breaking my head. but the one thing that always bugged me about the game was that it was played in regular cities, yet EVERYTHING somehow turned into a ramp or jump. being somewhat practical, i always thought this was total bullshit. i mean, how can you skate down the side of a building and use it as a ramp? buildings are STRAIGHT. just ridiculous. well, consider me proven wrong.

thank you, random ramp building on 42nd street, for setting the record straight. and thank YOU, mr. architect man, for invisioning such a building. i think i owe you both an apology. however, if anyone did try and skate down this building, they would still definitely die. so i'm not COMPLETELY wrong.

I work right down the block from that building and I always stare at it when I pass.
I want to slip and slide down it.
