this is my new favorite website

one of my work friends tipped me off to an amazing website this afternoon, with which i am now obsessed. basically what it is is people overhear things on the street or in subways or taxis and send them to the site, where they are posted for everyone to read and mock. here are some of my favorites from the last few days...

Thug: If the rain was a person, I'd kick its ass.
--Astoria

Girl on cell: Hey, Mom? Are you anemic?...Well, 'cause this morning I woke up with, like, twenty bruises on my arms...Yeah, well, my friends and I sometimes go out on weekends and punch each other.
--7th Street between 2nd & 3rd

Man: That's the worst...when the bitch gets mad at you for hittin' her.
--Prospect Heights

Guy #1: Get out of the way! You're in the walking lane and people are trying to pass.
Guy #2: What walking lane? Only an idiot would walk on an elevator. People who walk are idiots.
Guy #1: This is called an escalator.
--Grand Central(ZING!)

and my all time favorite:
Boy #1: Okay, who's Pavlov?
Boy #2: I don't know, it doesn't ring a bell.
--N train

i'm pretty sure in that last one, boy #1 was ricky and boy #2 was amir, and if they had started eavesdropping a few seconds earlier they would have heard boy #2 say "hey ricky, ask me who pavlov is." just a guess.
