from a christmas tree ornament my brother made in fourth grade:

"if money was no object, i would give the world more animal natural ground because more habitats of world famous animals are being destroyed almost every day, and more animals are being added to the endangered list. since i and most everyone cares for animals, i think people need to stop it. i believe that if whales go, we will surely be next."

if whales go, we will surely be next. remember when we used to be 9 years old and wanted desperately to save endangered species and the rain forest and everything? and then we grew up and turned to more pressing issues like which tv show to watch now and which to tivo for later?
