its official, i live in nyc

three separate yet related things happened today that made it clear once and for all that i'm an official new york resident. additionally, i plan to use a lot of exclamations points in this post to show how excited i am. just giving you fair warning.

1) i wore through my very first high heel! (for you boys, that means i walked so much that the rubber part on the bottom of the heel...oh nevermind, its not important) what IS important is that i had to pay $20 to have it fixed! come to think of it, this first one should have two parts. do over...

1) a. i wore through my very first high heel!
b. i was forced to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a service i never would have needed if i didn't live in new york city! yay for being consentually robbed!

2) someone asked me for directions! ok, so that's not a huge deal, people are always lost and asking for directions in the city. the important part here is that I ACTUALLY KNEW THE ANSWER. i know, i know, just call me the human compass from here on out. hc for short. extremely accurate human directional service for long.

3) i was crossing the street and a taxi turned right in front of me, so i instinctively slapped the trunk of it with my open palm as it passed and yelled "HEY MAN! I'M WALKIN HEYAH!" then i turned to no one in particular and continued yelling "FUCKIN' TAXI DRIVERS, RIGHT? DEY NEVA FUCKIN' LOOK, RIGHT?"

ok, so that last one didn't really happen (does it ever?), but the other two were pretty cool, don't you agree? someone? anyone?
