tis the season

to be REALLY HAPPY! numerous things have made me really really jolly over the last week or so, and now i'm gonna share some of the best. so get excited, you!!

first of all, company christmas parties! sounds like a drag, right? OH CONTRARE, MY FRIENDS. company parties are the best thing since sliced bread, and for once i'm actually not being sarcastic here. to illustrate, here's my favorite picture from the lowe advertising party last wednesday night.

as you can see, kira likes free noodles almost as much as i like looking really, really pretty. oh, me.

second thing to make me jolly was our recent discovery of the 'how to eat a burrito' instructions on the back of the napkins at chipotle. honestly, how ridiculously unnecessary are these???

hahaha oh napkin, thank you so much! without you i would have no idea what to do with this burrito of mine! what made me even happier was pavla's blatant disregard for the rules of burrito consumption:
.
caught RED-HANDED using a SPOON! for shaaaaame!

the third thing that made me joyous this week was finding this literal gem on a random city street. forced to walk miles due to the transit strike, i came upon it on a road less traveled-by (otherwise known as 53rd street). i was in a crappy mood but this enormous, suspended, and unexplained snowflake both literally and figuratively brightened my night.

the last things to make me happy this week were great friends, perfect christmas presents, and awesome guys who hail cabs for girls. that last one especially, which is extremely underrated and underappreciated in general. hailing a cab for a girl is like the city equivalent of opening a door. cosmopolitan chivalry. and i LOVE IT.

ok this is officially the longest post ever, so thanks for reading, and THE END!

God I love friendship. Seriously, it's the only ship that doesn't sink.

I think it's funny that you call 5th Avenue a "Random Street."

But it is NYC's most rediculous Christmas Decoration.

I would never eat a burrito any other way. And what I mean by that is, I would never eat a burrito without you by my side.
